Success
Success is a goal-oriented metric. This also can be thought of as drive or accomplishment.
Success is anything with a sought-after goal. Anytime we are striving, working hard, and focused on a goal (no matter how big or small), we are in the realm of success.
Yes, success can be making money and excelling at our career. Success is anything that requires goals, effort, and drive. But success is much more than just the material aspects of life. The tenet of success is about the goal-oriented gumption and drive. This is the category where Paul Conti's aggressive drive and passion drives would fit. Effort. Competitiveness. Grit. It is important to note that we merely need to try, not necessarily succeed to be in this realm. Failure is not the opposite of success in this context, rather a prime example of it, since it is the goal and effort that defines the tenet of success.
Success, or drive, requires our focus on an ultimate goal, no matter how big or small. Success often provides us with a sense of accomplishment and self-worth through external achievement.
Example:
We are hiking a steep trail in the mountains with the goal of getting to the top. This goal, and the drive to get there, is an example of success.
